The beautiful Bielefelder (Bi-Lee-Felder) is a top choice for a high number of unique shades of brownish pink-peach eggs in a VERY sweet family-friendly hen. They can lay a nice pink color sometimes (just sometimes) with the pink bloom over the egg.  See last pic.  More often eggs are a pinky-peach color. The Bielefelder was developed in Germany, and this feather color is 'cuckoo red.' These large girls are sooo docile and gentle, they are good for beginners and children.  The Bielefelder is a good forager and hardy in both cold and hot climates. These girls continue to LAY YEAR-ROUND, including in colder, darker winter months, when most stop laying. Expect 4-5 LARGE, eggs/wk. They score high in every department and are just a super breed.  Despite their larger size, they can be bullied by other breeds and they should be in a mixed flock of docile breeds/hens only.
