A very unusual maran and rare (sub) breed!  A family favorite due to their friendly temperment. No two of these lovely hens will be completely the same, with a feathering of beautiful blue spots and splashes. They lay a nice dark egg just like the other Marans, but some of their eggs can be speckled!  These girls are just the best, they are noted for how docile and friendly they are. I always have people coming back to add another one to their flock. Blue Splash Marans are hardy and do well in the Colorado climate. Expect 4-5 Large dark brown eggs each week. Can't say enough about the good feedback I am getting on these girls. Just wonderful personalities. Good breed for beginners and/or families with children.
