A rarer color of Leghorn, the elegant "Isabella" color -- the hens are a pastel blue shade with cream-color hackles and breasts.  Leghorns are well documented PROLIFIC layers of large white eggs, and have an excellent feed-to-production ratio.  They lay right around 300 large eggs/yr.(!)  Note that while these girls are gorgeous and high producers, like most Leghorns, they do not like to be held.  That said, ours still run to us for treats, just dont expect your Isabella to be a lap chicken!    These girls are not broody and top out at about 4-5 lbs.  Heat and Cold Hardy.
