Hands down one of the prettiest breeds out there, with some of the lovliest eggs. These friendly, calm, and gorgeous girls with moonglow feathers are stunners. On top of that you get lovely blue eggs. Lavender Ameraucanas have both beards and muffs, their pea comb makes them a great bird for colder climates, and they typically have a quiet and calm personality. You can expect 4-6 blue eggs/week. There is NO CHANCE of a tan egg with this breed as they are purebreds. The Lavender color is called “self-blue” and will breed true. You can expect all lavender-colored chicks from pure lavender parents (need to periodically breed with black Ameraucanas to keep the feather quality and lavender color). This color is recognized by the American Poultry Association. Gorgeous, sweet, hardy girls that produce beautiful eggs!
